Who We Are

TapSnap is operated by Gome Software Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17181136). Our registered office is at 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX. We act as the data controller for any personal data processed through this site or app and can be reached at hello@gomesoftware.com. This policy covers both the TapSnap website (tapsnapgame.com) and the TapSnap mobile apps for iOS and Android.

Data We Collect — Website

We do not collect personal data from visitors to this site. We use Google Analytics to gather anonymised usage data such as pages visited, session duration, and general device type. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally. If you decline cookies, analytics run in anonymous mode (IP anonymisation, no persistent client identifiers).

Data We Collect — Mobile App

The TapSnap app stores your game progress and settings locally on your device using the device's standard storage APIs. None of this data leaves the device.

The app may use Google AdMob to display ads between levels and Firebase Analytics to gather aggregate, anonymous gameplay data (screens visited, levels completed). On iOS, the App Tracking Transparency dialog is shown before any ad tracking occurs — you can decline at any time in iOS Settings. On Android, you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in Google settings.

Cookies (Website)

We use the following types of cookies on the website:

  • Preference cookies: to remember your cookie consent choice (stored locally in your browser).
  • Analytics cookies: placed by Google Analytics — only if you accept cookies. Without consent, Analytics runs in anonymous mode and no tracking cookies are written.

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser storage or adjusting your browser cookie settings.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

As we collect minimal personal data, most of these rights are satisfied by default. For any data held by Google Analytics, AdMob, or Firebase, please refer to Google's privacy controls.

TapSnap does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Data Retention

The website does not retain personal data on its servers. Google Analytics data is retained according to Google's standard policy (14 months by default).
